Our next stop was at another very old temple. Good thing I had two names for the water temple because I don’t even have one for this. For some reason it’s not mentioned in the tour description.
Our bus followed a procession slowly through a town on the way which made us part of the parade. All the locals were out watching and it gave me a chance to get photos of the families. The procession was to a temple honoring the start of some holy days coming up. The temple we were going to is not used regularly any longer so this procession went to another. There are temples everywhere.
They have rules about too much skin showing in temples and here’s Richard putting on his skirt. Robin is behind him and also is the cute guy seated on the stairs. This temple was on a steep incline and went up and up several levels. It was super old and lots of different structures.
At the top the ladies wanted dollars for pictures. Ok....I love to do that. They spotted me a mile off.
We had our long drive back to the ship but tomorrow is another day in Bali.
Bye for now,
Gayle
